The primary purpose of this National Strategy to prevent and address Gender Based Violence 2023-2030 is to provide a guiding framework for GBV implementers on preventing and responding to Gender Based Violence in a comprehensive way. This strategy is a product of extensive consultations with stakeholders. The strategy was developed taking from the good practices and gaps that were identified from the previous guiding documents namely the National Gender Based Violence Strategy 2012- 2015 and the National Gender Based Violence 365 2015- 2020. It also takes into account the emerging themes in GBV prevention and response. The strategy is anchored on six thematic areas namely Prevention, GBV Response, Capacity Strengthening of stakeholders, Evidence Based programming: Data, Information, Knowledge Management and Monitoring and Evaluation, Strengthening Coordination, networking and partnerships at national, subnational and community levels and Resource Mobilisation.
